STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL, the international hub for the tent and marquee industry, opened its doors from 14 to 16 November 2023, offering industrial customers with high demand for temporary storage logistics and decision-makers in production, commerce, logistics and architecture, humanitarian aid and the event sector a comprehensive range of products and services ranging from tents and marquees to accessories. With trends, innovations and industry-specific developments, the specialist show for the tent and marquee sector offered the ideal platform for gathering information, maintaining existing business relationships and creating new ones.

Dortmund, 28 November 2023 – STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL showcased the European tent and marquee sector for the second time between 14 and 16 November 2023 in Dortmund, one of Germany's foremost logistics hubs. The very first STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL last year produced a flourish of business deals and a multitude of new contacts whilst showcasing the industry to perfection. The follow-up event, too, put the spotlight on market leaders and top-names in segments ranging from marquees and tentage, lightweight open-plan utility buildings and portable buildings through to roofing systems, and also showcased specialist functional and decorative equipment providers whose extensive equipment options, services and accessories covered all requirements in storage and recycling, lighting design, shading and heat protection, acoustics, heating and air conditioning. For logistics businesses in particular, and for car makers, mechanical equipment manufacturers, the chemicals industry, retail chains and event planners, this show was a superb source of information on sophisticated and customised tentage, temporary buildings, portable buildings and related accessories.

Global players and top suppliers: big-name experts in attendance once again

The show attracted famous names such as HR-Structures, a German full-service provider with in-house production facilities and decades of experience in supplying industrial buildings and tents. HTS TENTIQ is one of the global market leaders in the tent and marquee sector and was also back in Dortmund with various designs of tents, marquees and lightweight halls which it produces in-house. Attractive event canopies, which can be used not just as weather protection but also as a media projection surface, were brought to the show once again by skyliner. FAGSI, one of the leading suppliers of portable buildings and container-style modular buildings with branches in Germany and France, was also back presenting various permanent-use modules and container-style modular buildings. One of the largest Scandinavian suppliers of tents and temporary structures with 14 branches in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Germany, Hallgruppen was also back at this year's show. Tent supplier Eurostretchtents Deutschland was also there showing its waterproof, quick-to-erect stretch tents in all fabrics, sizes and colours.

Ready for anything – indoors and out

Igel was back showing Germany's biggest range of professional ground anchors. FloorStak from the UK offered various options for stable support and for overcoming impediments. Also, REMKO, the pan-European system provider of mobile warm-air heating systems, dehumidifiers, air-conditioning systems, room air conditioning units and trend-setting heat pumps, was back showing its extensive range of equipment options for temporary structures and tents. The climate expert has 40 years of experience in the market.

New suppliers enriching the mix of exhibitors

Chinese specialist Liri Architecture Technology was at the show for the first time with a wide range of industrial, exhibition and event tents, as was Portuguese tent supplier Lusotendas which was presenting an extensive range of tents it supplies on the European market. In addition, global player Creative Structures was showing high-quality tent designs, furniture and floor coverings that are already finding buyers in over 60 countries. German dealer Hans Wilms was also providing information on products and applications in the fields of heating, ventilation and drying. Mobile lighting backed up by robust, environmentally friendly power supply systems was one of the specialities of Sonlux Lighting.

Trends, innovations and knowledge transfer live on stage

In addition to the trade show experience, STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL offered interesting talks and presentations on topics such as 'Levelling Structures in Complicated Areas' with Alan Shaw, Managing Director, and Marc Bartschat, Sales Manager, at FloorStak / The Regent Engineering, and the 'The HELOT Hybrid Ventilation Concept' with Marius Stoffels, Managing Director, and Daniel Schaaf, Senior Executive, at HELOT. The topic "Liri Innovation – Star Tent" was also presented by Li Tian, Managing Director of Liri Architecture Technology.

Making its début: the new INNOVATION AWARD

For the first time, leading trade journal zeltundco honoured the innovative power of the tent and marquee industry at STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL. People were able to cast their votes online until the first day of the show, while trade visitors were able to votes up until Day 2 of STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL. The award ceremony took place live on stage in Hall 4 at 12:00 hrs on 16 November 2023. HELOT, Kroll Energy, SKP and HR-Structures were the winners, with the latter two tying for second place and delighted with their wins.

This year again, STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL enjoyed the assistance of conceptual partner zeltundco. The show was also supported by the German Industry Association for Structural Textiles, Roller Shutters & Sunshading (ITRS). This umbrella organisation for the utility textile sector in Germany is the point of contact for all business and economic, technical, socio-political and legal issues in the industry. The third partner was the Logistics Property Focus Group of the German Federal Logistics Association (BVL) which acts as a forum for interacting and engaging in nuanced dialogue within the industry.
